Tides of Annihilation gives Gwendolyn a spectral army and a ruined London to save
Eclipse Glow Games reveals more of its Arthurian action adventure and confirms Angela Sant’Albano as the new voice of Gwendolyn.

Eclipse Glow Games has shown a new story trailer for Tides of Annihilation, revealing more about its Arthurian-inspired world and confirming Angela Sant’Albano as the new voice of protagonist Gwendolyn.
The trailer, titled Beneath the Veil, premiered during Gamescom Opening Night Live. It follows Gwendolyn through the ruins of London after a catastrophic Outworld Invasion has torn the city apart.
London has fallen
Tides of Annihilation moves between two very different versions of Britain’s capital: a devastated, fog-shrouded modern London and the mythical realm of Avalon.
Gwendolyn is trying to save her sister while uncovering the source of her newly acquired powers. The trailer shows her standing among the wreckage of familiar landmarks before being encouraged by Guinevere to embrace the power of the Fog — an ability previously wielded only by King Arthur.
That power allows Gwendolyn to summon spectral knights and fight alongside them. The latest trailer introduces Sir Lancelot, who joins her in battle and helps dispatch enemies in suitably spectacular fashion.
The result is an action game with a distinctly Arthurian twist: instead of simply swinging a sword through a medieval fantasy kingdom, players appear to be fighting through a broken modern city while commanding legendary figures from the Knights of the Round Table.
A new voice for Gwendolyn
Eclipse Glow Games has also confirmed Angela Sant’Albano as the new voice of Gwendolyn, replacing Jennifer English in the role.
The developer says the new performance will carry Gwendolyn’s journey forward as she deals with self-doubt, responsibility and the pressure of protecting her sister and homeland.
That emotional angle is important because Tides of Annihilation is not presenting Gwendolyn as an instantly confident chosen one. The trailer frames her as someone questioning whether she is capable of the task before her, then forcing herself to move forward anyway.
Global launch plans
Eclipse Glow Games has expanded the game’s language support to 11 languages, including English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean, Russian and Brazilian Portuguese.
Gamescom attendees can play the first global hands-on demo in Hall 6, Booth B-050 at Koelnmesse. The demo supports Nvidia DLSS 4.5 Dynamic Multi Frame Generation.
Tides of Annihilation is in development for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store. No release date has been announced.
Our opinion
Tides of Annihilation continues to be one of the more visually confident games from this year’s showcases. The idea of combining a ruined London with Arthurian mythology could easily have become a collection of familiar landmarks covered in mist, but the trailer suggests the two settings are connected by more than surface-level decoration.
The spectral knights are also a promising hook. They give Gwendolyn a way to fight alongside the legends of Avalon rather than simply borrowing their names for a sword upgrade or a collectible card.
The real question is whether the combat and story can support the scale of the premise. Eclipse Glow Games is promising two worlds, famous Arthurian figures, supernatural powers and a deeply personal rescue mission. That is a lot to carry, even before the apocalypse starts throwing giant monsters at you.
For now, Tides of Annihilation looks like a stylish action adventure with a clear identity — and that is already more than many games manage after three reveal trailers.
